Township Staff Working Remotely to Provide Essential Services
Township of Springwater / March 24, 2020 – The Township continues to monitor the status of COVID-19 and plan accordingly. Following the announcement by the Province of Ontario, effective March 24 at 4:30 p.m. Township staff will begin to work remotely to ensure essential services remain operational.
The following services are deemed essential:
-Fire and Emergency Services
-Water and wastewater operations
-Road patrolling and road maintenance standards
-Accounts payable
-By-law calls classified as ‘urgent’ will be investigated.
-Building inspections will be conducted under limited conditions.

All municipal facilities, including playground and outdoor fitness equipment, will remain closed to the public until further notice. However, facility and playground inspections will continue on a regular basis.
Residents are encouraged to contact the municipality via email. Contacts can be found on the Township website at springwater.ca/contact.
A special meeting of Council will be held on Wednesday, March 25 at 11 a.m. to address urgent matters and relief measures for residents and businesses. This meeting will be streamed live online at springwater.ca/live
