Township of Springwater / April 16, 2019 – The Township of Springwater is pleased to announce the launch of the municipality’s new and improved website.
“As a Council, we are committed to continually improving the communication between the municipality and our community,” remarked Mayor Don Allen. “The launch of the newly redesigned municipal website represents another important step in that direction.”

The new website, which retains the address of springwater.ca, features a more modern appearance, easier navigation, refreshed content and improved functionality.

“We recognize that needs have changed since our last website renewal in 2011,” said Natalie Graham, Communications Officer. “Springwater strives to effectively engage with its citizens and other interested audiences. The goal was to design a website that is citizen-focused, which is why we invited community members to participate in site mapping exercises at the very beginning of this project,” she said.
The website integrates several new functions including:
? An enhanced event calendar that accepts public submissions

? The ability to subscribe to email notifications for news, events and individual page updates
? An emergency messaging system
? The ability to report a variety of concerns online
The website is also designed to be responsive so that it is easy to view on any type of device, including smartphones and tablets. The new website meets the accessibility standards required by the Province of Ontario.
The development of the website was a joint effort between staff and eSolutions Group a Canadian company that specializes in dynamic, accessible government and community websites. The project was a key action item in the Township’s Economic Development Marketing Plan endorsed by Council. This plan won a MarCom Gold Award in 2018, which honors excellence in marketing and communication.
Springwater’s new digital face helps the municipality distinguish itself from competing central Ontario municipalities to welcome investment, new residents and visitors, while also offering current citizens improved access to everything Springwater has to offer.
The Township’s website is a living project. It will continue to evolve and change based on the needs of residents, businesses and visitors. Feedback is welcome and can be submitted online using the “Website Feedback” link in the footer or by email to website@springwater.ca.
